Appointing The Validation Panel - Centre-Hosted Meeting

You can request that the validation of the Group Award is organised by SQA, or you can arrange to host the validation meeting yourself. If your centre wants to hold and organise the validation meeting, the composition of the Validation Panel should be discussed with SQA as all the panel members are acting on behalf of SQA in assessing the proposal against SQA’s quality elements.

Validation Panel members’ names and details will be recorded on the Validation Report form. While panel members will usually have an interest in the Group Award, and may have taken part in the consultation process, they should not have been directly involved with its development.
