Preparing For Validation - Dress Rehearsal

Many centres like to have a pre-validation meeting which acts as a dress rehearsal for staff. This can help identify any weaknesses and clarify any uncertainties. This pre-validation is usually an internal meeting and should not include the external members of the Validation Panel. It is helpful for all if the participants treat this as a role-play exercise throughout - acting objectively, requiring all information to be explicit, and dealing with proceedings in a formal manner. The QDT should present their proposal formally, and should be available for questioning. The meeting and questioning should follow the same kind of format as the formal validation.
