Before The Meeting

All members of the panel should have been offered training at least one week before the meeting. Two weeks before the meeting all members of the validation panel should receive:

  • the time and date of the meeting
  • a location map of the venue
  • a list of panel members
  • a copy of the validation proposal document
  • validation checklists for the Group Award and the Graded Units  (see Centre Tool 21 and Centre Tool 22)
  • validation criteria - quality criteria are included in Appendix 3
  • a list of the duties of each of the members of the validation panel - Additional Notes for Guidance, Note 7
  • an outline programme for the meeting, Additional Notes for Guidance, Note 8
