The fitness for purpose of a specialist collaborative or specialist single-centre Group Award is usually maintained by the Course Team. The team will meet on a regular basis and analyse feedback and performance indicators relevant to the Group Award.
After validation and approval, the Course Team or other delivering centre may wish to alter the Group Award. Any alterations which affect the structure of the Group Award should be made on a DAVAL 2 form (see SQA Form 7). This form can also be used to request alterations to a consortium developed award.
The Qualifications Manager will look at the Arrangements document and will make the decision based on the rationale and aims of the award and seek specialist advice. If the request is to alter a single centre award, the Qualifications Manager may discuss with the originating centre or group of centres. No changes will be made to the mandatory section without significant consultation.
