Certificate in ITQ Social Software at QCF level 1

The ITQ Social Software suite of qualifications provides a simplified, flexible framework for recognising achievement in Social Software skills.  The framework provides qualifications at QCF Levels 1, 2 and 3, thus allowing a seamless progression path for learners.

The aim of the SQA Level 1 Certificate in ITQ Social Software is to provide a qualification, which introduces learners to the development and use of social software and to address a demand for provision of an introductory qualification into the use of social software, and which emphasises the importance of safe use of the internet.

The qualification at QCF Level 1 is designed for learners with limited experience in the use of social software.  The units will provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding, as well as practical experience to enable learners to progress in further education or into the world of work.

The qualification provides learners with knowledge and skills to work confidently in the area of social software and deals with tasks that are straightforward and/or routine.  A learner will be able to operate social/collaborative software and hardware with confidence in the areas s/he chooses to study.
