Advanced Higher - Question Paper Reviewer

We are now recruiting Question Paper Reviewers for the new Advanced Higher qualifications. Please follow the link to the list of subjects requiring Question Paper Reviewers. Advanced Higher - Item Bank Leader Opportunities

Are your ready to put your experience as an appointee to good use and progress through the appointee structure. This is a challenging role but one which will bring many personal and professional benefits.

We currently have opportunities for an Item Bank Leader for the new Advanced Higher qualifications in: Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics

(Please note that the IBL in Chemistry may oversee the Item Bank at Higher and National 5)

An Item Bank Leader is responsible for the management of the Item Bank to ensure sufficient items/questions are available to produce question papers, monitor the production and checking of items/questions, and the supporting marking instructions under the direction of the Principal Assessor. The Item Bank Leader role profile provides details of the contract specification, selection criteria and key performance measures. Additional support and training, if required, will be provided to support the successful applicant.

The Item Bank Leader role will require a combination of release and duties in own time. We anticipate a release requirement of up to 5 days per year.

An application form for the Item Bank Leader role is available for download and must be submitted with the Item Bank Leader Reference/Release form as release permission is required prior to interview. All applications will be acknowledged and interviews will be held during January 2015.

National 5 Opportunities

Senior Team Leader – Environmental Science – National 5

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Team Leader in Environmental Science at National 5 who will commence duties in April 2015.

SQA recognises the pivotal role that the STL will play in supporting the Principal Assessor in the new National 5 Qualifications in Environmental Science. Previous experience in a leadership role will be beneficial to the applicant.

An application form is available for download and must be submitted with a completed Reference/Release form. STLs will normally require 6 days release and will also be required to undertake duties in their own time.

Interviews for successful applicants will be held. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application.

Marker Opportunities

This could be your opportunity to help deliver National Qualifications as SQA are looking for experienced teaching professionals to quality assure Course assessments across a range of Courses at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
