FISSS has developed a range of useful resources to support employer groups with the development of Apprenticeship standards.
Apprenticeship Certificates England - The ACE system enables apprentices or training providers/employers acting on their behalf, to apply for their apprenticeship completion certificate.
The Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) is the leading trade association for vocational learning and employment providers in Britain.
Association of Colleges - AoC represents and promotes the interests of more than 320 further education, sixth form, tertiary and specialist colleges across the UK – over 95% of the sector.
Department of Business Innovation and Skills - The government department responsible for economic growth which invests in skills and education.
Department for Education - The government department responsible for education and children’s services in England.
Federation for Industry Sector and Skills Standards - FISSS certificates apprenticeships, quality assurance of the apprenticeship process, developing professional standards, driving growth through skills. Works with sector skills councils.
Gatsby is an independent charitable foundation set up in 1967 by David Sainsbury (now Lord Sainsbury of Turville). It focuses its support on a number of areas, including science and engineering education.
National Apprenticeship Service - NAS has responsibility for apprenticeships in England, including recruitment and bringing together employers and providers.
Office for Standards in Education - Independent and impartial inspectors of providers offering education and skills training for learners of all ages.
UK Commission for Employment and Skills - UKCSES is a publicly funded, industry-led organisation that offers guidance on skills and employment issues in the UK. View existing National Occupational Standards.
