SQA Change Programme
We are making further strides towards achieving our digital transformation vision, which will see learners, centres and staff benefit from our adoption of more efficient, scalable and enabling approaches.
Key to this is the SQA Change Programme, which aims to ensure our processes and procedures and systems are robust, flexible and scalable, enabling us to respond quickly to customer needs in a cost effective way.
Following on from previous developments such as e-marking and delivery of exam results by text and email, our approach has been ‘digital first’; embracing digital technology where possible to improve the way we work.
However the scope of the Programme extends beyond a purely digital focus, encompassing a range of work from enhancing the way we develop and deliver our qualifications to increasing our ability to support new opportunities and adapt to new ways of working.
Work has commenced in a number of key areas:
- Reviewing our customer channels to improve the experience of interacting with SQA for learners, centres and stakeholders
- Explore options to standardise and continually improve the delivery of our qualifications in Scotland, the UK and internationally
- Create a flexible, scalable technology infrastructure which enables and supports business change
- Enabling greater integration and collaboration through ongoing upgrades of technology base, including a move towards Microsoft technology
