Corporate Parents, Who Cares? Scotland

Young people in care celebrate their achievements

Results Day 2015

In April 2015, SQA joined many other public bodies in Scotland and became a National Corporate Parent under the Children and Young Person (Scotland) Act 2014, giving it a number of responsibilities to young people who experience the care system.

As part of our responsibilities, we welcomed representatives of the national voluntary organisation, Who Cares? Scotland, and a group of care experienced young people to celebrate their achievements on Results Day in August.

Joined by SQA staff, members of the SQA board, and the then Acting Minister for Children and Families, Fiona McLeod MSP, the candidates celebrated their accomplishments and were congratulated on their achievements.
