On Saturday 25 March the achievements of Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) members and their support workers were recognised at the Scottish Youth Parliament Awards.

SQA is delighted to recognise future SYP stars, through our sponsorship of the ‘One to Watch’ category. The actions of the finalists over the past year indicate that they have the potential to make a significant impact on the Parliament in the years to come.

The award was presented to Reece Harding and Suki Wan at the annual ceremony, which takes place during the March National Sitting of the Parliament. Congratulations to Reece and Suki, who we’re sure will continue to be an excellent ambassadors for the Parliament and the young people it represents.

On presenting the award, Neil MacGowan, Head of Operations and Corporate Social Responsibility at SQA said: ‘The Scottish Youth Parliament engages, empowers and listens to the voice of Scotland's amazing young people.  It has been SQA's great privilege to support the One to Watch Award.  It's fantastic to acknowledge and recognise the voice and commitment of our young people.  I was delighted to present the Awards to Reece Harding and Suki Wan and wish them every success for the future as they support our democracy and values in an inclusive Scotland.’

SQA congratulates all the winners and finalists on their well-deserved achievements.
