About SVQ Pathways

SVQ Pathways is an interactive and involving game designed to help pupils understand more about SVQs and how they could be relevant to their careers.

The game consists of six case studies presented as a card game. In small groups, pupils are required to arrange the cards into the correct sequence to make up the complete case studies. The aim of this approach is to encourage pupils to examine and think about how SVQs have helped the characters to progress in their careers.

To reinforce this, the pupils then use a 'story book' to answer a series of questions relating to the case studies. This is followed by a question and answer session with the class teacher. A guidance pack is included for staff.
