New Dissertation List for Advanced Higher History

A new list of approved dissertation titles has been published for session 2009/10. It can be accessed by folllowing the link in the right-hand 'subject-specific links' menu.


Revised Arrangements for Advanced Higher History

Updated Arrangements for Advanced Higher History, version 5, can now be downloaded below from the Arrangements documents page. The main changes are:

Historical Study Unit

  • Removal of previous Field of Study 4, France in the age of Louis XIV
  • Layout of descriptors updated; minor content changes in some fields
  • Advice on re-assessment updated


Historical Research Unit

  • Evidence requirements and outcomes amended.

Revised National Assessment Bank materials and Speciman Question Paper will be published in due course.
