Unlike IDE, one SCSI interface can be used to connect more than one or two devices. Generally, up to 7 or in some cases 15 devices can be connected depending on the type of interface used. The connection of SCSI devices on the one interface is carried out using a 'daisy chain' method. Each SCSI device has two connectors; one to connect to the existing chain and the other to extend the chain. In order to prevent signal reflection back along the cable the end device on the chain has a terminator attached.
