A laser printer is a popular choice of printer because of its relative cheapness and high quality of print. The technology that makes a laser printer work is similar to that used in a photocopier in that a laser is used to assist in the production of the output.
Care must be taken when replacing the toner cartridge in a laser printer. The toner can be harmful to humans and this also means that the cartridge itself must be disposed of properly rather than thrown away with normal rubbish. The 'empty' cartridge should be put back in its original box and then delivered to the appropriate cartridge recycler.
