Humidity

This is a particular problem in extreme climates. Manufacturers specify humidity limits because extremely low humidity can cause a build-up of static electricity, which can damage components, and extremely high humidity may allow the air to conduct, making high voltage components prone to damage. In all cases be guided by the manufacturer's instructions. Limitations on humidity are usually described as percentage relative humidity. For example, an upper limit of 80% relative humidity might be placed on a PC.
