Safety Devices

Hardware devices, which can prevent injury and/or damage to equipment, include:

  • fuses
  • circuit breakers
  • residual current devices (RCD)

These devices are designed and installed to perform one or more of the following:

  • reduce the risk of electrical shock;
  • reduce the risk of fire;
  • reduce the risk of damage to other equipment, cables, etc.
