Certification Services

We aim to process your order within 15 working days.

If you are a Qualifications Scotland Centre ordering a replacement certificate on behalf of your candidate, please order via SQA Connect.

Before ordering a replacement certificate, please read the information given on the Replacement certificates page. If you have any queries please contact us at replacement.certificates@qualifications.gov.scot.

Please note that we DO NOT hold the records from the following:

  • Apprenticeship or 'time served' papers
  • Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE)
  • City & Guilds
  • Local authority sponsored courses such as Manpower or YTS
  • Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA)
  • Pitmans
  • Royal Society of Arts (RSA)
  • School Leaving Certificates
  • University degree certificates or syllabuses

Payment & Delivery

Replacement Certificate £40

If you were certificated in the last 4 months and there has been no change to your name or address, we will replace your certificate free of charge. If you have any queries please contact us by completing our enquiry form.

In the UK all replacement certificates are posted 2nd class, and by AIRMAIL for addresses outside the UK.

If you want your order tracked, you must select one of the following delivery options when you place your order.

Recorded delivery within the UK (tracked) £6.50
Courier delivery outside the UK (tracked) £30

We do not offer digital certification. On request we can scan and email a copy to you or a third party of your choice. To do this, add a comment into the Additional Information section of the order form.

Secure Payment

We take the privacy and security of your data very seriously. You can shop with us safe in the knowledge that all available anti-fraud and security measures have been taken. The WorldPay payment facility is used to process all credit card and debit card transactions within our eShop site. WorldPay are part of the Royal Bank of Scotland group and use best practice authentication and encryption to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data.
