Assessment Arrangements toolkit

Assessment Arrangements is a complex area where centres and SQA share important responsibilities regarding the rights of learners with disabilities and those with additional support needs. We understand that many centres are experiencing increasing demand for assessment arrangements. We are, therefore, providing a range of supportive resources to help you understand your role in this area.

As part of this support, we have now launched the Assessment Arrangements (AA) toolkit. We know you will be working on confirming assessment arrangements for the 2022 exams, and the toolkit is an additional resource for you to develop practice in this area. The toolkit provides templates, examples and case studies all shared by centres. Please note that it does not contain any new requirements for AA, and that you can access it as and when you need to do so.

The toolkit follows on from the SQA Academy course that we published in December, and you can use it as a step-by-step guide if you are new to assessment arrangements, or as a resource when preparing for an audit or professional dialogue.

We will also be hosting a webinar to take you through the toolkit. The webinar will allow you to ask questions, reflect on your own processes, and share good practice with colleagues. We will provide further details of the webinar soon.
