Examination Exceptional Circumstances Consideration Service 2022
The Examination Exceptional Circumstances Consideration Service (EECCS) for 2022 is now open. For full information on the service, please refer to the EECCS documents on SQA Connect. The centre guidance has been updated today to reflect the latest public health guidance from the Scottish Government, which confirms the changes coming into effect from 1 May that we informed you about last week.
The closing date for EECCS requests is 10 days after the exam for which the request is being made.
As a reminder, learners are eligible for EECCS if:
- they have experienced a valid exam exceptional circumstance
- they have completed all the compulsory non-question paper components
- an estimate has been submitted for them
- alternative evidence is available
The service is not available to learners who complete the exam, even if they feel they have underperformed due to a personal circumstance beyond their control. In this situation, a learner will be eligible for the 2022 appeals service.
