International e-Assessment Awards 2022 - Best Transformational Project

We are delighted to be a sponsor at next week's International e-Assessment Awards in London. For the past three years, we have sponsored the Best Summative Assessment Project category. However, this year, we identified the Best Transformational Project as the most appropriate category since we ourselves are about to be transformed into something new.

We continue to be excited by the potential that technology has to enhance and transform not only the learner experience but also enabling the realisation of significant efficiency and quality benefits for learning and qualification providers.

The shortlisted entries in this exciting category have fully embraced the ethos of partnership and collaboration to deliver transformation in their projects. In their own way, all these finalists are seeking to challenge current and traditional practice, to deliver improvements in achievement and opportunity for their users, using new technologies. That surely should be a priority for all of us involved in the world of e-assessment.

The criteria for this award focuses on the use of e-assessment technology to deliver transformation in a service – solutions which are targeted to meet real and substantive needs and are able to evidence that these needs have been met and, for many, exceeded. The award criteria says ‘…we recognise that e-assessment is not always entirely formative or summative, and may not necessarily use the most innovative technology, but can bring about a genuine transformation to any organisation or institution’.

At the awards ceremony, SQA will be hosting a table with guests from Business, Education, and the wider e-Assessment sector.
