Verification update - round 1 verification selections

National Qualification unit verification selections for round 1 will be available on SQA Connect from Friday 2 December 2022.

If you have been selected for a subject/selection which you no longer present, please email nqverification@sqa.org.uk. We will then review your selections and make any necessary amendments.

The physical uplift of verification materials for round 1 will take place on Wednesday 18 January 2023.

We are pleased to confirm that you can upload candidate evidence and supporting documentation digitally on SQA Connect. We will provide further information about this to selected centres in early December.

All verification outcome records and reports from round 1 verification activity will be issued throughout the round, and by no later than Monday 13 March 2023.

Generating the sample

We will provide details of how to construct the sample of evidence with the selections.

Centres will continue to pick the units at each level, depending on the evidence available, and identify the candidates to include in the sample. You should provide a sample of candidates at each selected level, where you are entering any candidates for the units.

Please note that we may request that centres provide evidence from specific candidates rather than the centre selecting the sample. If this is the case, we will provide details of this in advance.

Skills for Work and Awards

Skills for Work and Awards selections will be issued by email to SQA co-ordinators on Friday 2 December 2022.
