NextGen: HN news

We recently ran a series of NextGen: HN HEI showcase events to continue our engagement with our HEI partners. We aimed these events at those new to NextGen: HN and those interested in a recap and update on subject specific information.  

As well as recapping the background and rationale for the development of NextGen: HN, the events were an opportunity to bring HEI partners up to speed with progress being made at subject-level across the range of NextGen: HN prototype qualifications and the variety of resources available to them. 

This includes the Qualification Information documents on our website – which provide details on each of the prototype qualifications – as well as our approach to articulation and progression and grading.  

As well as some excellent conversations over content and form at subject level, more generic topics emerged.  

Feedback to date with the HEI sector has focused on a variety of topics including grading, national articulation and meta skills. These issues have been explored with the sector through a number of engagements throughout the past 18 months, including webinars, attending relevant HE stakeholder meetings and communication with associated sector bodies.
