New online course to help you determine estimates

New online course help you determine estimates

We have developed a new online course to support you with gathering assessment evidence, applying national standards and determining estimates.

Our new course, 'Estimates for National Courses: gathering assessment evidence and applying national standards' combines guidance and examples of national standards, with links to online Understanding Standards resources. It also includes some reflections from the review of centre evidence gathered during the 2022 exam diet, as well as information on quality assuring estimates.

View our SQA Academy course on gathering assessment evidence and applying national standards.

You will need a log-in to view the course.

This course is suitable for SQA co-ordinators, department and curriculum leaders, and teachers and lecturers in SQA-approved centres.

Refreshed estimates guidance

We have also refreshed our guide ‘National Courses: guidance on evidence for estimates’, based on feedback, to clarify wording in a few areas. We have also included some additional text to help with checking the validity of assessments.
