Latest Understanding Standards materials

Our wide range of Understanding Standards materials explain and illustrate the standards required in SQA assessments.

We regularly review and update these materials to ensure they remain relevant and useful, and we are continuing to publish new materials throughout session 2022–23 where needed.

In the last week, we have published the following new materials:

 

Fashion and Textile Technology: Higher question paper – simulated question candidate evidence and commentaries 

We have published examples of evidence submitted by candidates for the 2022 Fashion and Textile Technology Higher question paper – question 1 (a) simulated question.

Alongside these examples, we have published commentaries and guidance written by an SQA senior examiner, which explains how many marks were awarded to each candidate and why.

 

Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies: Higher question papers 1 and 2 – candidate evidence, annotated evidence and commentaries

We have published examples of evidence submitted by candidates for the 2022 RMPS Higher question papers 1 and 2, with finalised marking instructions.

Alongside these examples, we have published annotated evidence and commentaries written by an SQA senior examiner, which explains how many marks were awarded to each candidate and why.

 

Health and Food Technology: National 5 assignment – candidate evidence and commentaries

We have published examples of evidence submitted by candidates for the 2022 Health and Food Technology National 5 assignment.
