Higher Education Institute Guidance

We wrote to higher education institutions in February to give a summary of our NextGen: HN qualifications, the centres currently piloting these courses and some key developments around grading and UCAS arrangements.

An overview of each prototype NextGen: HN qualification is available in our Qualification Information documents. These documents cover the course aims, the knowledge and skills from the units, approaches to meta-skills and grading.

Learners who pass NextGen: HN qualifications will receive one of the following grade outcomes:   

Achieved  
Achieved with Merit   
Achieved with Distinction

We will continue to engage with higher education colleagues to ensure they are fully aware of what to expect when learners present with NextGen: HN qualifications.
