2024 National Qualifications timetable

We have now published the 2024 exam timetable on SQA Connect and our website. The exam diet will start on Monday 22 April and finish on Thursday 30 May 2024.

The timetable takes account of the May bank holiday on Monday 6 May and includes Thursday 30 May as a contingency day so we ask that you do not plan any centre business or events on this date.  

Results day will be Tuesday 6 August 2024. 

The 2024 timetable has again been developed following consultation with teachers, local authorities, the Timetable Advisory Group (TAG) and subject specialists. This work, along with our established design rules, has enabled us to ensure sufficient time is available to complete all marking and quality assurance procedures prior to certification.

We are working on the timetable extra time calculator and will publish it shortly on SQA Connect. We are also developing the learner apps and these again will be available soon.
