SQA Shine Exhibition

Celebrating the creativity, determination and imagination of
National 1 and 2 learners

SQA Shine art exhibitionTo celebrate the Scottish Government’s Year of Young People 2018, SQA will be hosting a travelling exhibition. During November, our Shine exhibition will showcase the most powerful, creative and dynamic work provided by National 1 and 2 learners in Scotland’s schools and colleges.

We’re asking all schools and colleges to consider submitting up to three pieces of individual work, or one collective piece, for consideration by the exhibition panel. The work submitted could feature in the exhibition, the exhibition catalogue, or the SQA National 1 and 2 webpages — a magnificent opportunity to showcase the best.

The genre, topic and theme are up to you and your learners — simply show us the very best creativity, determination and imagination from your learners.

You can use any of these approaches:

Entries can be individual and/or collaborative, interdisciplinary and/or multidisciplinary.

The creative work must comply with the exhibition guidelines:

The number of words submitted for written entries should be at a level appropriate to the ability of the learner.

Please refer to our exhibition rules (257 KB) for terms and conditions of entry and remember to include an application form with your submission.

The closing date for entries is 28 June 2018. For general enquiries, contact 0345 213 5580 or e-mail sqaevents@sqa.org.uk

This is a significant opportunity for you to showcase the creative abilities of your learners to everyone in Scotland. We hope you will take part!
