SQA Computing Conference 2020

Earlier this month, we hosted our SQA Computing Conference. Over 150 delegates from schools, colleges, and training providers attended the event and heard first-hand from colleagues on developments to our Computing portfolio.

Delegates also heard keynote addresses from Judy Robertson, Professor of Digital Learning at the University of Edinburgh, and Melinda Matthews-Clarkson, Chief Executive of CodeClan.

Both spoke of the challenge of widening access to careers in computing, and information technology. There were workshops throughout the day, covering topics including Digital Literacy Units; Introduction to National Progression Awards; Overviews of the NPA in Data Science, and HND in Cyber Security; and NPA Cyber Security support materials.

Copies of the keynote presentations and the workshop presentations from the conference are now available on the SQA Computing Blog.
