Craft, Design and Technology teachers produce PPE for their communities

During this unprecedented time when the country is in lockdown, Craft, Design and Technology (CDT) teachers all over the country have answered the call of the high demand for PPE and have returned to their schools to make PPE for their local communities and health centres.

Demonstrating the skills and knowledge which are important to this country, they have been working hard to keep up with local demand, and the challenge of producing high numbers of PPE in a school setting while maintaining social distance measures and working long hours.

Using technology in their schools, such as 3D printers, they are producing PPE not only for people in healthcare but also for people who are in desperate need of this protection in their roles, though they may not be considered as being on the front line.
