Modern Languages for Life and Work Award
For a number of years, we have offered the Modern Languages for Life and Work Award and its component freestanding units at SCQF levels 3 and 4. In response to feedback from centres, the Award has been extended and is now available at SCQF levels 5 and 6 with its component freestanding units.
As part of this development, the Award and its component freestanding units at SCQF levels 3 and 4 have been revised and updated. New assessment support materials (including French, Spanish and Generic packs) are being developed and will include texts, transcripts and judging evidence tables to assist centres in delivering the Award.
Depending on public health advice, we will hold a launch event for the revised and extended Modern Languages for Life and Work Award in early 2021. All assessment support materials will be published to coincide with this event.
In the meantime, and until further notice, the existing awards, unit specifications and assessment support packs for SCQF levels 3 and 4 are still valid – however, some recoding of these has taken place (see second table below).
