Time to focus on celebrating learners' achievements

Monday 09 August 2021

National Qualifications 2021 - Group LogoResults Day, when learners receive their certificates and find out their grades, is always a significant and important date in the calendar.

It’s a time to celebrate achievement and to recognise hard work.

In what has been a very difficult and challenging year, the effort and the commitment of learners in the face of significant disruption speaks volumes about their resilience and flexibility. They have much to be proud of.

As learners prepare to receive confirmation of their results tomorrow (Tuesday 10 August), the National Qualifications 2021 Group* calls on everyone to celebrate their achievements.

We also want to recognise and thank teachers, lecturers and support staff for the tireless professionalism and commitment and for going the extra mile to do their utmost for Scotland’s learners.

Finally, a big thanks to parents and carers who have done so much to support and encourage learners through these extraordinary times.
