New SVQ in Occupational Work Supervision
CITB SSC and the OWS National Working Group have revised the existing SVQ in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction) at SCQF level 6 (GR0R 23) to remove the endorsement requirements from the qualification.
SQA has reaccredited the new SVQ in Occupational Work Supervision at SCQF level 6 (GT1N 23), which replaces the existing qualification. The new SVQ is now available to deliver and is open for candidate registrations.
What is different about the new SVQ
All endorsement units have been removed from the qualification and replaced with the unit, Confirm Work Activities and Resources for the Work (HL7P 04).
What this means for centres
You are no longer required to provide side letters or endorsements for candidates who are registered for the new SVQ (GT1N 23).
What this means for candidates
CSCS no longer require proof of endorsements to issue candidates with their CSCS card.

Lapsing and finish dates for the existing SVQ
The existing SVQ in Occupational Work Supervision (GR0R 23) will enter its lapsing period on 30 November 2021. From this date, all new candidates must be entered for the new SVQ in Occupational Work Supervision (GT1N 23).
Candidates who are already entered for the existing SVQ will have until the finish date on 30 November 2025 to complete the qualification and have their results submitted to SQA.
