2021-22 Understanding Standards webinars - new webinars announced

We are running a series of subject-specific webinars to support you with understanding the standards for assessment in National Courses, in line with the published modifications to assessment for session 2021-22. The webinars will run from October 2021 to March 2022 and are free to join.

The programme now includes webinars for National 5 History on 1 December 2021 and Higher Classical Studies on 26 January 2022.

Attending a webinar can contribute to your Continued Professional Development (CPD). Recordings of the webinars will be made available on our website for anyone who is unable to attend.

This webinar will provide a detailed overview of the standards required for the National 5 Physical Education portfolio.

11 November 2021 - National 3 and National 4 ESOL units (4.30 pm – 5.45 pm)

This webinar will explore a topic-based approach to assessment, linking the assessment of skills within a unit. It will also support with understanding the national standards required at each level as candidates progress from National 3 to National 4.

6 December 2021 – Advanced Higher English: project-dissertation (4pm - 6pm)

This webinar is an interactive workshop that will give delegates a detailed overview of the assessment standards for the Advanced Higher English project-dissertation, an understanding of appropriate texts and tasks, and an opportunity to engage in professional discussion, ask questions and seek clarification.

9 December 2021 – Advanced Higher English: project-dissertation (9.30 am – 11.30 am)

For those unable to attend the webinar on 6 December, this morning session is another opportunity to attend our interactive workshop on the Advanced Higher English project-dissertation. The workshop will give delegates a detailed overview of the assessment standards for the Advanced Higher English project-dissertation, an understanding of appropriate texts and tasks, and an opportunity to engage in professional discussion, ask questions and seek clarification.
