The next generation of National Qualifications
Curriculum for Excellence is about helping all young people in Scotland to take their place in a modern society and economy.
It provides a framework that will enable children and young people to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens, and effective contributors.
SQA is one of the four partner national organisations involved in Curriculum for Excellence. We work with partners on all strands of the development. Our principal role is to contribute to work on qualifications and assessment.

Launch of Curriculum for Excellence Parent ToolkitA new parent toolkit has been launched to help teaching professionals communicate with parents about Curriculum for Excellence. The toolkit contains case studies, film clips, images and a bank of slides and provides practitioners with the tools they need to talk to parents with confidence.
