Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)
The QCF is the nationally recognised system designed to provide an accessible, flexible and simple unit and qualifications framework in England and Wales.
On the QCF, every unit and qualification is allocated a credit and level. Credit measures the average length of time a learner will take to complete a unit (1 credit = notionally 10 hours) and the level indicates the difficulty of the award (ranging from levels 1-8, with one being entry level)
There are three types of QCF qualifications
- Award - 1-12 credits
- Certificate - 13-36 credits
- Diploma - 37+ credits
We offer a growing number of QCF registered Awards, Certificates and Diplomas ranging from Levels 1 to 6.
