NextGen: HN - Quality Assurance
The current Quality Assurance process for NextGen: HN will continue for session 2023-24. Therefore, new centres and those delivering new qualifications will continue to have an initial pre-delivery meeting where they will be introduced to their allocated External Quality Assurer (EQA) by SQA Quality Assurance staff. Four touchpoint meetings with the EQA will be offered throughout the year, concluding with a verification visit.
Centres in their second or third pilot year of a qualification will have a pre-delivery meeting, alongside Touchpoint 1 and will have the opportunity to discuss further touchpoint meetings with their EQA.
Support from EQA and SQA will be available for all centres. Collaboration with pilot centres on the NexGen: HN Quality Assurance model has been positive and we greatly appreciate the support.
We are in the process of refreshing the information on the Quality Assurance tile which will include a new guidance document for centres. The Quality Assurance tile can be found on our website.
