Chemistry - updated National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher coursework assessment task documents

We’ve updated the detailed marking instructions and instructions for learners in the National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher coursework assessment tasks to clarify information for teachers and lecturers, and learners.

The updated documents are dated September 2024 and are available from our NQ Chemistry web pages, under the Coursework tab. The ‘History of changes’ section at the end of each document provides more detail on the changes.

About post-exam diet changes to documents

It’s normal practice for SQA to review course materials after the marking of exams and coursework is complete.

During marking, our exam teams sometimes identify minor corrections, or areas of the published marking instructions and instructions for candidates that could be made clearer.
