SOLAR focus group
We established a SOLAR focus group at the end of 2023 to provide an open forum for users to discuss and provide feedback on SOLAR and its supporting services.
The aims of the group are:
- For SOLAR customers to provide feedback to SQA on a specific topic related to SOLAR or its supporting services, including the SOLAR website and the Digital Assessment Services Helpdesk.
- For SOLAR customers to share how they manage SOLAR and administer SOLAR assessments in their centres.
- For SOLAR customers to provide suggestions on how SOLAR or its supporting services can be improved.
- For SQA to provide SOLAR customers with an update on future developments in SOLAR or its supporting services.
Membership includes three schools, two colleges, two training providers, and members of the teams supporting SOLAR. Membership rotates annually based on demand. Meetings are held for an hour every quarter on MS Teams.
Two meetings have already taken place, in February and June 2024. The next meetings are scheduled for September and December (dates TBC).
