SQA Advanced Qualifications updates

Unit updates

We have added the following optional units:

• Social Media for Business (J1GP 48) has been added as an additional option to the SQA Advanced Certificate and SQA Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism (GM9G 47 and GN12 48).
• Building Measurement and Cost Studies (HR4D 47) has been added as an additional option to the SQA Advanced Certificate in Quantity Surveying (GN0L 47).
• Contemporary Marketing Issues (J3J4 48) has been added as an additional option to the SQA Advanced Certificate and SQA Advanced Diploma in Business (GT2A 47 and GT2C 48).
• Game and Wildlife Management: Sustainable Deer Management (J856 47) and Work Placement (HP4X 47) have been added as optional units to the SQA Advanced Certificate and SQA Advanced Diploma in Wildlife and Conservation Management (GT8E 47 and GT8F 48).
• We have made a minor amendment to the mark distribution for the ‘developing’ and ‘evaluating’ aspects of the project in the unit specification for Financial Services: Graded unit 2 (J02L 48).
• We have corrected the Group Award Specification document for the SQA Advanced Certificate and SQA Advanced Diploma in Administration and Information Technology (GT08 47 and GT09 48). This updated the SCQF level and SQA Credit for Social Media (J1GN 47) and Social Media for Business (J1GP 48) in the document.

Assessment Support Pack updates

We’ve added new assessment support packs to the secure site for the following units and SQA Advanced Qualifications:

• For Concept Garment Design: An Introduction (J7T1 47) we’ve added assessment support pack AEX001 for the SQA Advanced Certificate and SQA Advanced Diploma: Fashion Design and Manufacture (GV3P 47 and GV3R 48).
• For Creative Garment Design and Manufacture: Advanced (J7SL 48) we’ve added assessment support pack AEX001 for the SQA Advanced Diploma: Fashion Design and Manufacture (GV3R 48).
• For Fashion: Commercial Design (J7T5 47), we’ve added assessment support pack AEX001 for the SQA Advanced Certificate and SQA Advanced Diploma: Fashion Design and Manufacture (GV3P 47 and GV3R 48).
• For Fashion Forecasting: Research and Development (J7SH 47), we’ve added assessment support pack AEX001 for the SQA Advanced Certificates in Fashion Business (GV3M 47), and Fashion Design and Manufacture (GV3P 47).
• For Managing Business Culture and Strategy (J5FL 48), we’ve added assessment support pack ASP002 for the SQA Advanced Certificates in:
• Accounting (GM96 47)
• Administration and IT (GT08 47)
• Business (GT2A 47)

We’ve added the same assessment support pack for SQA Advanced Diplomas in:

• For Business: Graded Unit 1 (J5TA 47), we’ve added assessment support pack ASP001 for the SQA Advanced Diploma: Business (GT32 48). For the same unit, we’ve also added assessment support pack ASP003 for the SQA Advanced Diploma: Business (GT32 48)
• For Business with Accounting: Graded Unit 1 (J5TC 47), we’ve added assessment support pack ASP001 for the SQA Advanced Diploma: Business with Accounting (GT35 48). For the same unit, we’ve added assessment support pack ASP003 for the SQA Advanced Diploma: Business with Accounting (GT35 48).
