J8N9 45 Forensic Anthropology: History and Application at SCQF level 5 - publication of new unit
We’ve published a new unit in Forensic Anthropology at SCQF level 5. The unit covers the history of the profession of forensic anthropology and how forensic anthropology is used in the modern world. It also covers how to identify the bones of the adult human skeleton. Learners are asked to demonstrate methods of recording bones and describe basic methods of analysis used in forming a biological profile.
Centres must seek approval to offer this unit, as special expertise and resources are required to deliver it.
The unit can be delivered from August 2025. More information is available in the unit specification document which you can access through the Unit Search page of our website.
