Open entries - Scotland's Colleges

We have published a report on Exchange, which can be accessed on SQA Connect, to support you with entry data management.

The report contains your centre’s open entries with a completion date up to and including 31 December 2023 and any entries that have passed their finish date. This does not include National Courses.

You must review the report and update the completion date, result or withdraw the candidates with open entries using either your own management information system (MIS), SQA’s Candidate Services, or we can assist you with bulk processing. You must update all entries by Friday 28 March 2025.

We’ll contact you during the week beginning Monday 31 March 2025 with information on when we plan to process the withdrawals.

If you withdraw candidates and they subsequently return to study the same course and/or level, you can reinstate entries on Candidate Services without any additional charge. This only applies if you have been previously invoiced for those entries.
