SQA supports the 2025 Lantra ALBA Awards

We sponsored the Learner of the Year Higher Education Award, at both HNC and HND level, at the recent Lantra ALBA Awards. The Lantra ALBA Awards celebrate the hard work and achievements of Scotland’s trainees, pupils, apprentices, mentors, training providers, and secondary schools across Scotland’s land-based and aquaculture sector.

The Learner of the Year Higher Education Award at HNC level was picked up by Charlotte Masson, having achieved a HNC in Horticulture at SRUC Elmwood College, and the HND award went to Eilidh Simmons after completing a HND in Equine at Oatridge College. Congratulations to both of the winners.

Amanda Laing, SQA Accreditation Manager, attended the awards ceremony. Amanda commented: “It was a fantastic evening attending the Lantra ALBA Awards. It’s always a delight to see the achievements of a wide range of entrants and of course the hard work put in by their tutors and employers. Winners in all categories are extremely talented and have promising futures in their chosen field. I would highly recommend any provider in these qualification areas to consider entering learners for these awards.”
