Help Shape Scotland's National Qualifications for 2031-32
This is your opportunity to influence the future of qualifications in Scotland. Join one of our interactive workshops in September or October to take part in designing the qualifications of tomorrow. During the online and in-person workshops we'll explore key aspects of qualification design including; structure, modularisation, assessment weighting and grading approaches. You’ll then have the opportunity to create your own qualification model and share the thinking behind your decisions.
The workshops are part of a wider programme of educator engagement that will run throughout the year. We'll be offering a range of events, activities, and opportunities for practitioners to contribute to the development of Scotland's future qualifications, ensuring there are multiple ways to get involved and have your voice heard. We’re keen to hear from practitioners from all subject areas. Your experience, expertise, and insight are invaluable in helping shape qualifications that meet the needs of learners, educators, and Scotland's future workforce.

Workshop details
In-person events in Dalkeith and Glasgow, with an option to join online for those unable to travel. We also have three online-only dates.
Dalkeith
- Friday 25 September 2026: 10 am to 12.30 pm
Glasgow
- Thursday 8 October 2026: 10 am to 12.30 pm
- Friday 9 October 2026: 10 am to 12.30 pm
Online-only
- Monday 19 October 2026: 4 pm to 5 pm
- Tuesday 20 October 2026: 4 pm to 5 pm
- Thursday 22 October 2026: 4 pm to 5 pm
If you’ve previously attended one of these sessions, delivered at your school, please don’t book onto these events as they’ll cover the same content.
