Contracts

Contracts register

In accordance with the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014, all public bodies authorities must keep and maintain a register of contracts (a 'contracts register').

The Scottish Qualifications Authority has therefore made available a 'contract register' of all live contracts available to view on the Public Contracts Scotland website

All contracts listed are a result of a regulated procurement above the value of £50,000.

Competition Requirements:

Procurement below OJEU threshold:

All SQA contract requirements are advertised on the Scottish Government advertising portal, including those requirements which are not fully subject to the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006.

SQA are committed to ensuring that small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) have fair access to public sector contracts in Scotland - (see related link)

SME's whether businesses, social enterprises or third sector bodies - make a significant contribution to the delivery of public services in Scotland and to the supply of good and works to the Scottish public sector. They are often ideally placed to provide innovative solutions to public sector requirements and to deliver value for money, either individually or as part of a consortium.

Procurement above OJEU Threshold:

All SQA contract requirements are advertised on the Scottish Government advertising portal.  The European (EU) procurement directive sets out the law on public procurement.  Their purpose is to open up the public procurement market and to ensure free movement of goods and services within the EU.
