School Partnership Team - Strategic priorities

Our School Partnership Team is transforming how we engage with teachers and putting learners at the centre of our decision making.

We've identified four priorities that will help bring our strategy to life.

Professional learning

Our series of conversations with the classroom aims to explore key themes and share experiences of assessment through regular sessions with current and past teachers.

Ahead of each session, we’ll share up to date research to help inform new ideas and spark conversation about how assessment shapes learning and teaching.

More information will be shared as we develop the series.

Organisational change

Understanding the mechanics of school life is key to shaping our operations and qualifications.

This series of events involves guest speakers from schools sharing their expert knowledge of how schools operate with our staff. From school timetabling to integrating learner pathways and providing skills-based learning, these sessions will explore the challenges and opportunities our schools face and inform qualifications design.

Sign up to our Weekly Update where we’ll share the outcomes of these sessions.

Learners at the centre

The School Partnership Team will work with the Learner Interest Committee which forms part of the governance of Qualifications Scotland. This reflects our commitment to ensuring that assessment and accreditation are meaningful, inclusive and responsive to the needs of learners.

We look forward to sharing updates and insights as this work develops.

Communication & Engagement

We’ll continue to work with communications and engagement colleagues to ensure your voice is heard and you are fully informed as the School Partnership Team progresses.
