Classical Studies
Candidates study the religious, political, social, moral and cultural values and practices of classical Greek and Roman societies. They become more aware of issues affecting their own society, and globally, by comparing the classical world with the modern world.

We’re running an Understanding Standards event for National 5 Classical Studies on Wednesday 12 November 2025 from 10am to 4pm.
It will take place at our Glasgow office, with an option to join online for those unable to travel.
What the event will cover
This event will focus on the National 5 Classical Studies course assessment. You’ll take part in workshop activities where you’ll review and discuss examples of assessment evidence.
