Fashion and Textile Technology
Course develops knowledge, understanding and skills in the technological processes of the fashion/textile industry. Course is experiential and practical, with opportunities for candidates to develop and communicate their own ideas for fashion.

On 1 February 2026, Qualifications Scotland replaced SQA and became Scotland’s new national awarding body. The documents on this page remain current and you can continue to use them. We’ll update them in the style of Qualifications Scotland when they’re next due for review.
03-JUN-2026
We’re reducing the marks for the National 5 and Higher Fashion and Textile Technology practical activities and assignments. We’re also reducing the number of assignment investigations from three to two. We’ll introduce these changes from session 2027-28.
