NPA Applied Sciences SCQF level 5

Updated from the National Progression Award in Practical Science at SCQF level 5 (see Qualification structure for information).

This National Progression Award (NPA) provides an overview of the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) sector.

It develops knowledge and understanding of biology, chemistry and physics. It will also develop science practical skills.

The NPA provides bite-sized chunks of learning that are straightforward for centres to adopt and for learners to study.

This qualification is available through schools, colleges and training providers.

NPAs can be taught as a full-time course over one year or as a part-time course over two years.
