SVQ in Playwork at SCQF level 7

The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Playwork at SCQF level 7 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work and expertise.

This qualification covers areas such as developing and enhancing relationships in the playwork setting, and contributing to the running of a playwork setting. It enables candidates to contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures to safeguard children and young people within the playwork setting.

This qualification has been designed in partnership/jointly awarded with SkillsActive (the Sector Skills Council for Active Learning, Leisure, and Wellbeing) to ensure its relevancy to the sector.

SVQs are based on National Occupational Standards (NOS). SQA works in partnership with other organisations to ensure that NOS are relevant to the current and future needs of Scottish industries.

This qualification is available through employers and training providers.
