HNC/HND Acting and Performance

Higher National Certificate Acting and Performance (Group Award code G7G1 15)
Higher National Diploma Acting and Performance (Group Award code G7G2 16)

The aims of both the HNC and HND Acting and Performance are to allow candidates to gain skills and knowledge in the core performance areas of Acting, Movement, and Voice Studies and to integrate these in production. They are designed for those who wish to pursue a career in the Performing Arts and seek the relevant training in Acting and Performance.

The HNC is aimed at those who have some previous experience of Theatre Arts and Performance, perhaps through a lower level course or interest developed in youth theatre or amateur dramatics, or who show potential and demonstrate a strong interest in performance and who seek to develop their skills in order to progress to drama colleges or to the HND in Acting and Performance.

Qualifications Development Team

We will be hosting a meeting of practitioners to discuss the HNC/HND Acting and Performance, and the HNC/HND Musical Theatre Group Awards.

We are seeking practitioners who currently deliver either or both of these group awards, and are keen to establish a Qualifications Development Team on Monday 19 February 2018 in Glasgow.

The purpose of the meeting is to gather intelligence from centres that deliver the awards, and assess the potential for future development and change. Practitioners are invited to attend — your input to this meeting would be highly valued.
